For the past 60 years, Government High School for the Blind, located in Olassa, Kottayam district, has been proudly owned by the Kerala Government. Our school is dedicated to providing education and support to visually challenged children, and we are the only Government-owned high school in Kerala that caters specifically to visually impaired students. From primary to 10th grade, we offer a comprehensive curriculum designed by the Kerala Government to meet the unique needs of the children. As the 'Center of Excellence,' we strive to provide our students with the tools, skills, and the latest technologies and resources to enhance the learning experience.
At Olassa Blind School, we take pride in creating a nurturing and inclusive community for our students.
                We
believe in providing a comprehensive support system where our students receive free education, study
materials, meals, accommodation, uniforms, medical assistance, and travel expenses. Our dedicated and

Various extracurricular activities have been conducted with different groups of volunteers. With the
assistance provided by volunteers, the students actively participate in painting using brushes and thumbs,
which are further transformed into greeting cards and calendars. The students are also taken to theaters
